Add subtle color to your bathroom with peppy polka dots! You can make this adorable polka dot shower curtain in under an hour! Choose any number of bright colors to achieve this scattered confetti look or go minimal with chic black or beige.
Things You’ll Need
Cotton canvas shower curtain
Multiple colors of fabric paint
Plates for paint
Large round makeup sponges
Dishes for paint
Prep: Line your workspace with plastic or scrap cardboard to stop paint from seeping through and staining surfaces. Keep a wet rag handy to wipe off your hands or clean up spills. Iron your shower curtain to remove creases before painting for a perfect finish!
1. Dispense a generous amount of fabric paint into a small dish. Mix multiple colors with a paintbrush to reach your desired shade and test the contrast by stamping test dots on a scrap piece of paper.
2. Use a round makeup sponge to create perfectly round polka dots on the canvas. Blot the sponge on a plate covered with paint for even coverage, place paint side down on the canvas and press down gently with your fingers. Remove the sponge by peeling up gently from one side.
